Eleanor is a Chartered Surveyor having graduated with an MSc in Rural Estate Management from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester in 1998.

She established Jones Battye, with her husband Gareth, in 2005, having previous worked, firstly with the Farming and Rural Conservation Agency in Bristol, and then with the Countryside Council for Wales in Cardiff.

With over 15 years of surveying experience, particularly in the rural and agricultural sector, Eleanor’s current focus is on ensuring that all of Jones Battye’s professional standards, policies and procedures are maintained up to date and in line with industry ‘best practice’ guidelines.

She also has a particular interest in building design, conservation and restoration, and the challenges of finding new uses for old buildings and their role in the regeneration of town centres.
